1. Overview

FieldPay ("we", "us", or "our") is a field service management app designed for independent contractors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the FieldPay mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you:

• Create an account (name, email address)
• Set up your contractor profile (business name, phone number, city, state, hourly rate, skills)
• Add clients (client names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses)
• Create invoices, estimates, expenses, and job records

We do not collect payment card numbers or banking information directly. Payments are processed through Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Power core app features (invoices, estimates, client management)
• Generate and share PDF invoices with your clients
• Pre-fill invoice forms with your default settings
• Display your business performance dashboard
• Manage your subscription (Pro/Elite tiers)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore). Firebase stores data in Google's cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Your local app preferences (such as default tax rate) are stored on your device using secure on-device storage.

5. Third-Party Services

FieldPay uses the following third-party services:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, and cloud functions. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not store your payment card details.

Google Maps / Apple Maps (when you tap a client address) — your device opens the Maps app, which is subject to its own privacy policy.

6. Client Data

When you enter client information (names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses) into FieldPay, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and use that information. You should obtain appropriate consent from your clients as required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data

10. Children's Privacy

FieldPay is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
